This is a really nice piece - excellent white and black enamel overlay on a high polished 14kt heavy gold electroplate. There's pave set ruby red rhinestone crystals in all the dog collars and emerald green eyes. This piece is a bar pin that measures 2 and 3/4 inches wide at the base and this one is a signed piece - signed KU (janku) with a circle after.

14kt Gold Ivory Flamingo Pin Brooch Ruby Emerald Bird Rare Piece Pre-ban Piece - This is a beautiful piece from my private collection - I have never worn it - simply admired it in a small showcase picture frame hung on the wall. The frame broke so I decided it was a sign to let another admire it now. It measures 2 and 5/8 inches long and 1 & 7/8 inches wide. There are 10 cut rubies, 2 darker stones that I think are sapphires and lastly 8 what I think are emeralds but might be peridot - I only say this because I've had this piece for many years and the old brain is just not what it used to be. Each stone is encased and pave set in a little 14kt gold circle. There is one single ruby eye. It is stamped 14k - on backside near the pin back which I do not believe is 14kt gold as there is no stamp on that pin finding. Hopefully you will be confident in my description however if there is something I have missed please don't hesitate to ask. If you require any further photos please do not hesitate to ask.

THESE ITEMS WERE JUST TOO MUCH OF A LEAP FOR HER CUSTOMERS DOLLAR WISE....... HOWEVER, THE PLATING IS EXCELLENT AND IF YOU DIDN'T TELL SOMEONE THAT THIS PIECE WAS NOT 14KT GOLD - NO ONE WOULD KNOW...... I WOULD SEE THIS WOMAN AT THE TRADE SHOWS AND KNOW THAT SHE HAD THESE PIECES "STASHED" AWAY UNDER THE TABLE...... EACH TIME I WOULD SEE HER - I WOULD PICK UP A FEW MORE PIECES UNTIL I HAD ALL THE DIFFERENT STYLES. I HAVE QUITE A FEW........ SOME ARE MORE OUTSTANDING THAN OTHERS....... 2 Mating Dragonfly Pin Hand Painted Brooch Made US Mint

Back in the day - when quality goods were produced by Americans in America - this piece came out of a line created by one of my favorite casters. Solid brass finding with hand painted enamel wings. First painted in colors - then gently sprinkled with that same fairy dust that Kirks Folly is so fond of then lacquered and baked. This item comes from old early 90's stock and even though it's almost 20 years old now it looks like it was made just yesterday. When I used to order them I'd order an array of colors so this one is the last one I have in the purple. The wing span is 2 and 1/4 inches across and it's a regular bar pin. If you love unique - you'd be hard pressed to find another - at least in these colors.
