Amethyst Crystal Pewter Dolphin Natural Rock Specimen
new
Nice little desk paperweigh or collectible - pewter dolphin sitting on a cut piece of natural amethyst. They are attached to a small but thick lucite bottom so there will be no scratching on a nice wooden surface. The lucite base measures 1 and 1/4 inches square and as you can see the rock is a bit larger. There's a couple of pretty nice points showing thru the top. He's a charming little fella with great detail. I have alot of different figurines like this and more dolphins so the rock itself may not be exactly the same but close.

From my private collection - I really like Donald Stannard items - they were very high quality - made in the USA piece that transend time. Never out of fashion. If you have never heard of him - he came out of the KJL house and ventured out on his own in the early 80's. He was a beloved designer of many Hollywood stars. This piece measures 1 and 3/4 inches long. VERY 3-d in nature. High polished 14kt gold plate with pave set rhinestone crystals. There is a siam red jelly type stone on either end of the shell. The pictures really don't do the piece justice. Of course this piece is a OOAK for me. Very nice piece
