Ancient Faience Mummy Bead Necklace Scarab Circa 300 BC DazzleCity

Excellent strand of ancient mummy beads strung onto simple cotton thread - these beads are very fragile and would typically be used for display purposes only and not worn. Excellent eartone colors with the main stone - Scarab - measuring 1 and 1/8 inches long. I believe that the smaller scarabs are original but not the larger - could be but it is in much better condition than the smaller ones. These ancient Eqyptian beads were used to decorate the chest shields placed over a mummy before entombment. They were dyed with a variety of natural vegetables and have amazingly retianed their color thru time. This piece is a one and only measuring an overall length of 30 inches. If you are a fan of egyptian mythology you will appreciate the condition of this set. Did you know that the Bactrian camel is on the endangered species list? There are approximately 800 only left in the wild in remote Mongolian desert regions. Just a little tidbit of info. This one has a high polished gold plate with pave set rhinestone crystals. This piece measures 2 and 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches tall. It's a regular bar pin. It's a tad bit heavy so no silk blouse for this one (just saying) but a nice jacket or blazer piece.

Did you know that the dromedary camel is the largest of all the camels? Cousin to the llama and alpaca. This piece is a nicely silverplate with an enamel overlay. Measures 7/8's of an inch wide and tall. It's a vintage piece made in the early 90's by a company out of Providence, RI and the quality is quite nice. Tack pin.

Copper Queen Earrings Vintage Egyptian Revival Abalone
Harder than heck for me to shoot these - I took several pictures this was the best believe it or not. These were samples when I was pulling the Luxor Hotel line together years ago before the hotel opened. They are solid copper disc's with a golden brass design set over the ovals. There are inlaid abalone (paua shell) inset into the scarfs at the bottom. They are pierced and measure 1 and 7/8 inches long. This set is again another one and only set.
