This is a unique and really weird hand crafted item. It came to me in an auction box lot. It is marked sterling on the backside and it is genuine turquoise. The stone itself measures 1 and 1/8 inches across. The prongs are all hand turned. No clue how old it is or just exactly what it is. Pin? Tie clasp? Tried to picture it from every angle. It is old for sure. Only 1 I have. It weighs 10.2 grams - sold as is.
Brought this one back from Egypt in the early 90's - no real clue how old it is. Weighs 17.4 grams - measures 1/75 inches long and wide. Stamped on the backside with the usual Egyptian stamp. Vivid cobalt blue enamel accents. Open filigree work to the inside cartouche. Right and left facings to the outside. Only one I have.
